Our work speaks for itself.
Scotland's waterways carry an extraordinary amount of history, and Scottish Canals has spent years making sure people can actually feel it.
A relationship that began in 2015 and continues to deepen, the work spans placemaking, brand identity, wayfinding and visitor experience across some of Scotland's most iconic destinations — from the Kelpies to the Falkirk Wheel, the world's only rotating boat lift, which draws over 500,000 visitors a year.
The most recent chapter at the Wheel involved transforming the main welcoming space into a genuine moment of storytelling — a bespoke curved wall, designed in response to the architecture of the Wheel itself (interior design by Goodstrife), that layers interpretation, orientation and interaction into a single fluid gesture, giving the space a dynamic, contemporary presence without losing the warmth of somewhere people actually want to stop.
Along the Forth & Clyde Canal corridor connecting the Wheel to Helix Park and the Kelpies, new signage and wayfinding infrastructure invites visitors to slow down, explore further, and understand the canal not just as a route but as a living piece of Scottish heritage.
The waterways have always connected communities. The work simply makes those connections visible.
